The Louisiana Notary Public, unlike counterparts in the other forty-nine states, is a Civil Law Notary. By law, notaries are public officials who have qualified for a commission issued by the Governor, after being confirmed by the Senate. Non-attorney notaries must complete an examination process administered by the Secretary of State prior to being commissioned.
Louisiana notaries are given broad powers to prepare and execute affidavits, oaths, acknowledgements, and generally all written instruments. Notaries in other states serve as official witnesses to a person’s signature.
All of our notaries have statewide jurisdiction, are fully bonded, and insured. In addition, all notaries are Certified Notary Signing Agents.
Our mobile notary service brings a full service notarial office to your home, office, school, medical facility, or any other convenient place seven days a week (including evenings, nights, and weekends.)
